Since quietly debuting in March 2006, e-Archives has received more than 2 million page views. Early Washington Maps: A Digital Collection Early Washington Maps: A Digital Collection Early Washington Maps: A Digital Collection, a collaboration between Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections and the University of Washington Libraries, contains the vision which numerous such authors held for the Pacific Northwest. Spanning three hundred years, Early Washington Maps: A Digital Collection includes maps of both sea and land faring explorers—from David Thompson, the successful navigator of the Columbia River, to the exploits of William Clark and Merriwether Lewis. It documents the struggle between Britain and America for the ownership of the region, and the further development of one of the last frontiers on the continent. Some of the digital collection's maps delineate the boundaries under dispute within the years 1818 and 1846, culminating in a peaceful compromise and the decision of the 49th parallel as the northern border of the United States. 131. Editorial Cartoons of J.N. "Ding" Darling Editorial Cartoons of J.N. "Ding" Darling Jay N. "Ding" Darling (1876–1962) spent the majority of his career working as an editorial cartoonist for the Des Moines Register. His work was printed in more than 100 daily newspapers across the nation over the first half of the twentieth century. Darling covered political, social, and cultural affairs like many editorial cartoonists, but environmental conservation was also featured heavily in his work. He is believed to have drawn up to 15,000 cartoons over the course of his lifetime; this digital collection currently holds just over 11,000 of those. Education by Design Education by Design Education by Design is an online exhibit and image database of over 700 historic educational visual aids owned by the Bienes Center for the Literary Arts: The Dianne and Michael Bienes Special Collections and Rare Book Library located at Broward County Main Library in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These educational visual aids are significant, not only for their aesthetic beauty, but also as cultural and historical artifacts. All these items were produced under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal jobs creation program, the Works Progress Administration (WPA), founded in 1935. The agency was renamed the Work Projects Administration in 1939 and operated until June, 1943.

Dublin Core records describe the original, physical piece rather than the digital image representing the artifact. There are extensive notes on cataloging, including a data dictionary, DC / MARC Crosswalk and file-naming conventions.
